Backup Operations – Customer Enablement IT is looking for a manager to participate, lead and help shape IT strategy and delivery using the Delta AWS ecosystem and other modern technologies. This executive is focused on delivering cutting-edge technical solutions to the Reservations business division, which has 8,000 front-line professionals interacting with  millions of Delta customers. These technical solutions are  key  to ensuring Delta achieves its financial, customer service and future growth goals. This manager is responsible for  the timely delivery of the right technical solutions to  business needs on time, within the allocated budget, and ensuring that the technical solutions meet the technical and operational standards defined by Delta Information Technology. This manager leads new capital technology solutions, improves current technology solutions and supports and maintains technology operations.

 How You’ll Help Us Keep Climbing (overview and key responsibilities):

•  Lead technical agile squads in delivery of secure, reliable, scalable technical solutions to meet business needs and priorities
•  Guide team members in system thinking, strategy, alignment, analysis, and execution tasks within and across technical teams in an agile manner
•  Provide technical guidance to ensure technical solutions abide by Delta Air Lines approved patterns, security requirements and data privacy requirements
•  Deliver on operational excellence with Operational Runbooks, Incident Management Playbooks, monitoring dashboards, real-time alerting, and proactive actionable responses to production outages
•  Drive squads to operate autonomously in the cloud operating model; ongoing squad structure and skills oversight
•  Supports the teams continuous learning and skill building, ensurs the team is focused on the correct skills
•  Drives hiring and contractor management within the team while retaining and promoting top talent, builds teams that can deliver on business needs
•  Collaborates and builds relationships with Managers across Domains to ensure continuous improvement and best practices
•  Strategic partner with Business Stakeholders focused on delivering on business needs to support the operation, focus on being agile based on changing operational needs
•  Fosters collaboration with team members to drive consistency across technical teams
•  Facilitator of skill building without providing specific work direction – oversees and drives team performance
