DESCRIPTION:
The Refund Specialist ensures timely credit balance resolution via refunds to cases, governmental agencies, and other third party payers. The Refund Specialist is responsible for reviewing the validity of the credit balance by vindicating accurate billing and posting procedures. This position performs logical conditioning for the payment/ collections department managing healthcare accounts delinquent. As part of the Refund platoon, you’ll work in a presto paced and platoon concentrated terrain to resolve credit balances for insurance and case balances. You’ll initiate refunds, equipoises, and adaptations, dissect issues and hunt for results, and maintain supporting chronological notes that detail action taken to resolve outstanding balances.
