key competencies
- Over 10 years of experience building scalable microservices and data platforms.
- 5 years of management experience.
- Expertise in object-oriented software development and a deep understanding of scalable distributed systems such as Cassandra, Solr, Kafka, Spark and/or Hadoop.
- Experience building AI/ML platforms and A/B testing is a plus.
- Experience building and scaling systems both on-premises and in the cloud. Experience in hybrid cloud architecture is a plus.

This leadership role leads a team of experienced engineers specializing in indexing and large-scale search using cloud-based technologies to deliver results in milliseconds on terabytes of data.
As a key contributor to this team, you will manage, design and develop secure and scalable backend systems. We are looking for a results-oriented and versatile manager who can thrive in an agile environment. You will also work closely with data scientists and lead an engineering team to design, develop and deploy solutions, including leveraging open source and building tools, frameworks and components that enable us to improve and scale the operating platform. The team is directly responsible for the systems used by thousands of advertisers, publishers and developers with high visibility in the mobile advertising space.
