Full Job Description:
You will be responsible for creating and executing all aspects of new live-action video production, as well as developing existing seasonal videos for Disney Cruise Line Entertainment and ownership of eight controls the ongoing show.
Responsibility / you will
Create and execute sound designs for live performances and assigned infrastructure. Accomplish and promote brand design through successful creative processes.
Participate in the innovation of the project. Sound support for Disney Cruise Lines Toronto rehearsal space as required.
Stay up to date on technology research and developments in the industry. We work with our consultants and suppliers to ensure that Disney quality, efficiency, training and the necessary information on all audio services are provided.
It works as a program to manage the training of onboard technicians. Conduct “good fun” analysis of existing products and provide support for management preconceptions.
Keep the information up to date. Work with the Entertainment Technology Team Integration Manager and the Entertainment Technology Team on past, present and future shows.
Comply with established policies and procedures, including all marine and vessel regulations, policies and procedures. We work with Shoreside Entertainment technical leadership, Disney Cruise Line security partners, and standards and support teams to ensure security management and operational information is up-to-date with security and regulatory requirements.
Basic Qualifications / You will have
- At least 3 years experience in the entertainment industry
- Proven, solid and up-to-date knowledge of all aspects of sound design, style (drama, commercial, concert, etc.), technology and equipment.
- Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills as well as the ability to present creative ideas.
- Collaborate with other designers, managers, writers and producers to support the creative process
- Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing self-study
- Ability to work flexibly with work schedules such as overtime, weekends, holidays and travel
- You must have or intend to obtain a passport and a credit card for domestic and international travel.

- Live instruction development experience with The Walt Disney Company
- Construction, engineering and construction
- Working knowledge and understanding of Walt Disney culture
- Familiar with current versions of AutoCAD, Q-Sys Designer, SMAART and predictive modeling software.
